Apple 2 review

Mac evolution. Apple 2 review

Apple offers 3 pioneering home PCs that have been around for over 25 years. But 2 is rightfully considered the most famous. In fact, the development of the company is one of the positive factors that generally influenced computer technology. In many ways, Steve Jobs himself contributed, and his creation successfully competed with other giants of the industry, and successfully coped with any problems.

In a rather short period of time, the company has become a real mega corporation and has created not only its own image, but also an excellent reputation in the market.

And the public fell in love with one of the company’s creations – Apple2, the models were distinguished by their diversity, but still were compatible with each other, and they lasted on the market from 1977 to 1993. And by the standards of an industry that is developing incredibly fast, this is a lot.

There are many examples of how various models from well-known manufacturers in just a couple of years became old and gave way to other devices. This is due at least to the fact that there was no banal opportunity to run programs created for them.

Moreover, people loved the very story of the creation of a computer by Jobs, who achieved everything after selling a calculator and an old van, and for this money, Steve created the first computer on his own in his garage.

What was the Apple 2 computer

In 1976, the Apple 1 saw the light of day, selling for $666.66. And it is worth saying that two Steves worked on the creation, Jobs himself and his friend Wozniak. Over time, thoughts began to come that it would be nice to improve this model and make some updates.

Soon, active work began, Wozniak allocated mainly RAM space for video memory. But at the same time, he integrated the graphics adapter into the new PC. And in the end, we managed to get a device that was an order of magnitude more powerful than Apple1. At the same time, it was possible to save money, since almost 2 times less chips were used.

The keyboard was ordered by Jobs from a company that specialized in the production of devices for the cash register. In fact, it was Jobs who was responsible for the appearance of the device, the body and other elements. And there was a desire to create something that would actively attract the attention of the public. While Wozniak dealt with internal hardware and performance.

The result was a PC in a plastic case that resembled standard typewriters, but there were also some futuristic notes, which the user liked. And just this whole design was called Apple.
